Somatic therapy is a body-based, trauma-informed approach that goes beyond talking and offers experiential practices that can gently reshape the nervous system patterns (trauma). Somatic Therapy builds a sense of home in our bodies & our world so we can experience aliveness and ease.
I truly believe that everyone has the capacity to access greater peace within their lives, but there are often factors that make those states harder to access – from early childhood experiences, trauma, beliefs, family dynamics, relationships to societal influences. Somatic therapy offers a safe way to reclaim parts of ourselves we’ve had to disconnect from.
Over 10 years I’ve gathered pieces that shape the work I do. From traditional talk therapy, to yoga and mindfulness, to somatic based therapy, I see value in an approach that welcomes all these elements.
